Localize an Entry | Classic

Localizing an entry allows it to break the inheritance from the fallback language and become independent.

To localize an entry, follow the steps given below:

  1. Go to the entry that you wish to localize.
  2. Select the language using the language selector option located on the top-right corner of the page.
This opens an unlocalized copy of the original entry with content inherited from its fallback language.
  3. Replace the existing content with the content in the appropriate language.

Additional Resource: If you want to learn how you can automate content translation, refer to the Manage Content Translation guide.

  4. Click on Save to create a localized copy of the same entry in the chosen language.

This entry will then cease to fetch data from its fallback language. So, any changes made to the entry in the fallback language will not have any impact on the localized copy.
