Localize an Entry

Localizing an entry allows it to break the inheritance from the fallback language and become independent.

To localize an entry, log in to your Contentstack account, go to your stack, and perform the following steps:

  1. Click on the “Entries” icon on the left navigation panel. You can also use the shortcut key “E”(for both Windows OS and Mac OS users) to access entries.
  2. Go to the entry that you wish to localize.
  3. Select the language using the language selector option located on the top-right corner of the page.

This opens an unlocalized copy of the original entry with content inherited from its fallback language.
  4. Replace the existing content with the content in the appropriate language.
