AUSTIN, Texas – April 25, 2023 – Contentstack, the composable digital experience platform (DXP) category leader and pioneer, today announced the finalists for its second-annual Contentstack Experience Awards (CXAs). The awards recognize businesses with breakthrough innovation, integration, transformation, or effectiveness in composable architecture. Winners will be announced at ContentCon, Contentstack’s annual customer conference in Austin, TX May 10.

“So many brands are doing their part to break their industries free from monolithic tech suites. But these brands stand out,” explained Susan Beermann, Contentstack’s CMO. “If you want to take that first – or next – step in your composable journey and really pursue what you think is possible, study these leaders. They will educate and inspire, and we’re honored to give their work a platform to shine. Some of them are even showing us new possibilities for our product!”

The finalists for the 2023 CXAs are:

Most Innovative Project: Leveraged composable technology in an innovative way, or to drive customer experience innovation.

Golfbreaks, the market leader in golf travel, needed to build direct relationships with all group travelers, not just the lead booker. They built a portal experience to include all guests and provide lead bookers with self-service options to decrease inbound calls to the contact center. In less than ten months, 5,300 new members joined the loyalty program, and 3,000 tasks that would have been call center cases were completed through the portal as a result of this project.

Sky Group, the European media and entertainment company, needed to respond to editorial needs without reliance on IT. They created a self-service site builder for non-technical users leveraging modular blocks, content types, and a custom stack management tool. This project increased speed to market, provided unprecedented creative freedom to content editors, and freed up developer resources to focus on customer experience innovation.

Most Successful Digital Transformation: Brand went from monolith to composable and business benefited.

Metrolinx, a Canadian road and public transport agency, needed to deliver a better, personalized, and seamless customer experience. EPAM leveraged Contentstack within a transformation program of Metrolinx’s technology: from several legacy CMS platforms and applications to a unified, fully-integrated composable stack. The program kicked off in February 2022, and preliminary results indicate 1.5-2x faster page load times and 99% faster content publishing.

MGM Resorts faced challenges in effectively managing its content across channels. Publicis Sapient assisted MGM with a digital transformation, creating an omnichannel content schema design to connect multiple products. Immediate performance improvements included a 26% faster page load time and a 9% increase in conversions on desktop.

Best Integrated Technology Project: Leveraged several integrated composable technologies to benefit their business or improve customer experience.

Icelandair’s translation process used to be burdensome and heavily reliant on spreadsheets. They addressed this by integrating an API-based translation service into Contentstack, creating a separate publishing environment, and using a webhook to submit content to a Python service. This submits and receives translations from the agency. The upgrades resulted in 70% faster translation delivery and publishing live rate across 17 locales and 11 languages.

Leesa Sleep, the socially responsible luxury mattress company, wanted to make blog articles a shoppable opportunity. The team leveraged references and modular blocks to enable editors to drop a call to action into a blog post, directing traffic to product pages to increase conversion. This became a one-stop-shop for editors to manage and deploy content from within a standardized workflow easily. Visit the Leesa Sleep Blog here.

Partner of the Year: Dedicated to innovation and success through the Contentstack partnership.

Aprimo partnered with Contentstack on the “Composable Heroes” project, an integration of Generative AI, Contentstack’s Automation Hub, and Aprimo’s Digital Asset Management. The project showcased Contentstack’s ease of extensibility and place in the modern-day tech stack with the rise of generative AI, with applications both to the IT department and creative teams.

Grid Dynamics led the transformation at Matco Tools as the brand updated its storefront from limiting, legacy monolithic technologies to Contentstack’s API-first CMS. The resulting e-commerce site is sophisticated, flexible, and direct-to-consumer.

Contentstack accepted CXA applications from March 1-April 14, 2023. The Contenstack executive suite jury will announce the winners at ContentCon on May 10. The Company will also feature the winning projects in a digital showcase on Constenstack.com.
