About Bulk Operations on Search Results

Contentstack allows you to perform bulk operations on search results, enabling content managers to select multiple items and perform actions such as Publish, Unpublish, Delete, or Change Workflow Details in bulk.

These bulk operations, integrated into the search functionality, lets you quickly locate content and take immediate action on selected items. You can use Basic Search, Advanced Search, Filters, and Views to narrow down your search results before applying bulk operations to the refined list.

For example, if you want to publish all entries with the content type "Blog," search for "Blog" using Basic or Advanced Search. Apply relevant filters if needed, and save the search as a view for future use. From the search results, select the relevant entries and click the Publish option to bulk publish them.

To update the same text across many entries at once, use Find and Replace. After you narrow your results, select the entries and run a find-and-replace operation to replace or remove a text string in bulk. For more information, refer to the Find and Replace Entries in Bulk documentation.

The checkboxes select results one page at a time. When your search returns more entries than you want to work through page by page, use select all records to run Publish, Unpublish, Delete, or Add to Release on every entry that matches your search and filters, up to 10,000 entries per action.

NoteSelect all records applies to entries only. Assets in your search results are not included, and Change Workflow Details does not support it.
