Create Your Contentstack Account

Note These instructions are for anyone who created their Contentstack account through the sign-up page, on Free, Build, or Growth plans. The Manage Subscription section is only visible to the organization owner. If your organization is on an Enterprise tier, reach out to our support team to make any changes.

You can create a Contentstack account and start building on your own. Contentstack creates your organization and starts you on Free, which has no expiration and does not require a credit card.

Account creation takes about two minutes. You need access to the email address you register with, because Contentstack sends a verification code to it.

To create your account, go to the Contentstack sign-up page and perform the steps below:

1. Enter your First Name and Last Name.
2. Enter your Email address. Contentstack sends your verification code to this address, so use an address you can open now.
3. Select your Country. If your country has states or regions, select yours as well.

Note Your country determines how tax is applied to any future purchase. You cannot change it yourself after your account is created. If you need it changed, contact the support team.

4. Read the terms, and then select the checkbox to accept the Contentstack Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
5. Click Submit.

Contentstack begins creating your account and displays Setting up your account. Remain on the page.

Contentstack sends a six-digit verification code to the email address you registered with, and then displays the verification screen.

1. Open the email from Contentstack and copy the six-digit code.
2. Return to the browser tab and enter the code in Enter your one-time verification code.
3. Click Verify.
4. On Let’s Set Up Your Contentstack Account, set your password.
5. Complete the two-factor authentication setup when Contentstack prompts you for it.

Note The code expires 10 minutes after Contentstack sends it. If the code expires or does not arrive, click Resend Code and use the most recent code. Older codes stop working once a new one is issued.

After Contentstack verifies your email address and you finish setting up your password and two-factor authentication, it activates your account.

When your account is ready, you have:

• An organization, which is the top-level container for everything you build. You are the organization Owner.
• The option to create your first stack, which holds your content types, entries, and assets. Contentstack opens a welcome page rather than a stack, so to create one go to Headless CMS. Refer to the Create a New Stack documentation.
• A Free subscription, with no expiration date.
