Use this guide when you already have the core Timeline Preview setup in place and need implementation examples.

Complex Content Structures with Timeline Preview

Timeline Preview works with nested groups, references, and arrays without changing your normal Fetch<T>() workflow.

Common Pitfalls in Advanced Testing

  • Reusing one ContentstackClient for concurrent timeline runs without Fork().
  • Assuming timeline context persists safely between unrelated tests.
  • Passing extra keys to the timeline dictionary instead of the supported set (content_type_uid, entry_uid, preview_timestamp, release_id).
  • Mixing setup responsibilities from SSR middleware and CSR endpoint routes on the same request path.
