Name Asset Versions

Contentstack assigns a number, by default, to every version of an asset (for e.g., Version 1, Version 2). You can now assign a name to a version for easy identification (for e.g., Initial Image, Final Image).

To name an asset version, follow the steps given below:

  1. Open the asset.
  2. Click on the drop-down link located on the top-right corner of the page.
  3. On the drop-down menu that opens up, you will see the list of all asset versions.
  4. Click on the version number and provide a name to the version.
  5. Once done, click on the tick mark beside the version name to save the change.
You can alternatively press Enter to save your change.

Note: A version name has a maximum limit of 32 characters.
