Information Collected from Site Visitors
Contentstack collects information to provide, improve and protect the Sites and Services.
Contentstack may collect information automatically using web tracking technologies such as cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, clear GIFs and third party tracking services in order to ensure that the Sites and Services operate efficiently and to collect data related to usage of the Sites and Services such as, but not limited to, the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request (“Tracking Information”). Contentstack's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Contentstack's visitors use its website. From time to time, Contentstack may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
If you do not wish to receive cookies, you may deactivate storing cookies on your computer by changing your browser settings accordingly. Please note that the functionality of the Sites and Services may be impaired and the range of functionalities may be severely limited if you deactivate cookies.
Contentstack also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and those interacting with, accessing or using our products (this may include stack IPs). Contentstack only discloses logged in addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.
In order to collect Tracking Information and to make your use of the Sites and Services more responsive to your needs and more efficient, Contentstack may store cookies on your computer. Contentstack may also use one or more web tracking technologies that are placed in
web pages on the Sites and Services or in email communications to collect information or about actions that users take when they interact with the Sites and Services or such email communications. Contentstack does not link Tracking Information to individual user Personal Information or include the Personal Information with the Tracking Information that Contentstack shares with the web tracking companies that use and process the Tracking Information except as strictly necessary to provide and improve the Services (including customer support services). Some Tracking Information may include log or other data, such as IP address data, that is unique to you. You may be able to modify your browser settings to alter which web tracking technologies are permitted when you use the Sites and Services, but this may affect the performance of the Sites and Services.
Gathering of Personal Information
Certain visitors to Contentstack's websites and users of the SaaS choose to interact with Contentstack in ways that require Contentstack to gather personally-identifying information such as name, address (email or physical), credit card billing information, username, passwords). The amount and type of information that Contentstack gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for an account at Contentstack to provide a username and email address. Those who engage in transactions with Contentstack - by purchasing access to the Contentstack platform, for example - are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. We may ask your consent to communicate with you regarding the provision of services or notify you about new services, changes and improvements. You can rescind this consent at any time via the Sites and Services. In each case, Contentstack collects such information only in so far as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor's interaction with Contentstack and Contentstack’s Sites and Services (or improve the product, with your consent. However not allowing us to collect information solely to improve the Services may not allow you to use the Services themselves). With respect to our customers and their account users, Contentstack does not disclose personally-identifying information for marketing purposes other than as described below but may disclose such personally-identifying information for purposes of account and services administration. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related and SaaS activities.
To the extent permitted by law, Contentstack will compile and/or create for analytical purposes statistical, aggregated data relating to our users and the Sites and Services and display or share this information. Aggregated data is derived from Personal Information and Tracking Information but in its aggregated form it is de-identified in a manner so that it can not be used to identify any individual or individuals.
