# Rename Step

To rename a step from the automation, perform the steps given below:  

1.  Click the action tab (in our case, **Send Message**).

2.  Click the edit icon visible on the action header to rename the step.

3.  The **Send Message** field becomes editable. You can update the name of the step as required and click the “✔” check mark.
